Accompanist, Erich Borden
Erich Borden is an organist and pianist who has held positions in Troy, Latham, Greenwich, and Saratoga Springs during the last 48 years. He has provided rehearsal and concert accompaniment for the Cambridge Valley Chorale, the Bennington County Choral Society, and the Cambridge and Ballston Spa School districts. He has been the accompanist for the Battenkill Chorale since its inception in 1995 and the organist at the Saratoga Springs Methodist Church (home of the renowned Danish tracker organ built by Frobenius & Sons in 1996) since 1997. Mr. Borden earned his degree in Electronic Music/Composition from the University at Albany with honors. After graduation he spent 12 years traveling and performing a wide variety of music with one of the earliest generation computer-driven keyboard systems. He is a Registered Piano Technician and has held office in the Hudson-Adirondack Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild, Inc.
Mr. Borden spent a year as the service manager for Artist Pianos in Latham and has also worked with the L.A. Carlson Organ Company, building, installing and servicing pipe and digital organs for the New England Region.
